The Software Development Group covers the education and organization of computer programming, documenting, testing, and bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining applications and frameworks.


The Software Development Group is for the discussion, questions and news about software development, programming and computer science that doesn’t fit in other existing categories.

Role of the Chairperson



  • Mac Pro "Eight Core" 2.8 (Early 2008) is powered by two 2.8 GHz Quad Core 45-nm Intel Xeon E5462 (Harpertown/Penryn) processors with 12 MB of level 2 cache per processor (each pair of cores shares 6 MB), a 128-bit SSE4 SIMD vector engine, and 1.6 GHz "64-bit dual independent frontside buses." Runs Yosemite and is on loan from VCC. Software available Xcode, Autocad, and Adobe Suite.

On November 14th @ 7p an initial meeting was held for the sole purpose of coming to common agreement on 2 agenda items; (1) Do we want a Software Development Committee (2) Define a date/time for the committee's first meeting to discuss and vote in a chairperson.
