November Hackathon: RFID Interlock

In just one day, members of the Dallas Makerspace built and tested a system to control access to tools that require training before use.

All members of the Dallas Makerspace receive an RFID tag for 24/7 access to the facilities and tools, but some tools require a training or safety course before use. The RFID interlock was created to help insure that untrained members don’t hurt themselves or our equipment.

Source code, schematics and board files will be posted to our GitHub: https://github.com/Dallas-Makerspace/RFID-Interlock
