7:20 PM: Call to order.

7:21 - Call for candidates for VECTOR chair. No one wishes to challenge Stephen.

7:24 - Motion to nominate Stephen Wylie as chair & Jayson Woods as vice chair. Seconded by Kobin. Unanimous vote.

7:25 - Thanks to Oscar for helping build the TV mount!

7:26 - Kobin moved his project out of VECTOR and shared the experience of installing it in a facility, and has been granted space for another restoration. We were glad to see James Henningson's pachinko game get a fix as well during the past month.

7:30 - A new supply of EvapoRust will finish arriving Tuesday (tomorrow) and will be ready for dropoff at DMS then was brought Friday 10/30. The remaining Evaporust tanks for pinball legs and other tall, skinny parts will also be brought were also brought at the same time. The EvapoRust supply will be just shy of $90 to be reimbursed.

7:35 - We will be seeking class teachers on home console video game modifications to do in-person classes starting as early as the week of 11/9. Raymond has also prepared a slide deck to teach the Bad Caps class remotely.

7:40 - The mini pinball part exhibits are still an ongoing project. We have an example flipper and a slingshot mechanism made; now they need power. We need barrel style power jacks for the power supplies Raymond donated right away, followed by parts for future builds such as:

  • Pop bumpers
  • Drop targets
  • Some way to show some advanced electromechanical game logic involving relays

7:50 - With our members avoiding the space due to COVID concerns and fear of getting at-risk loved ones sick, we do need to be creative about our activities and keeping people involved in what's normally a very "physically present" sort of activity. From a technical standpoint, it's not easy since there are collectively very few people interested in any particular subject, yet there are a very wide variety of subjects (e.g. any one particular EM game might be "rare", but there are tons of rare games). We are attempting to get our feet wet with "evangelism mode" by luring the console gamers into our space to get them exposed and acclimated to what it's like to work on bigger machines.

8:00 - Adjourn
