NOTES:

Printmaking department is busy preparing for the Steamroller Event on April 23rd. Discussion ensues about preparing for that event and details related to wood carving and supplies.

Printmaking is still looking for volunteers to help with the event. Volunteer work positions include inkers, blanket/paper wranglers, print hangers, and runners.

SATURDAY April 23 12-5pm Dallas Makerspace Steamroller print day ! 12 noon -5 pm: PRINTING! DMS rear parking lot (North Warehouse workshop area if raining).

Printmaking is trying to build back up it's member interest since loosing many members due to the pandemic.

Continued recruiting for more printmaking teachers, we are talking to a few people who may be interested in teaching screen printing, but nothing is confirmed yet.

Lisa is working with Author Lara to restore the Kluge to running order. Author has come on site at the Makerspace twice to do training with the print monkeys and assess the press for missing parts. An estimate of $800 dollars was quoted by Author to purchase rollers, suckers, roller wash and miscellaneous parts needed to restore the press back to running order. Once the press is running Author will do some onsite training with the print monkeys to get it printing ephemera for the space.
