Help Us Move

Hello Fellow Makers,

We’re moving! The lease for 1825 Monetary Lane Suite 104 has been signed and the official move-in date is set for July 1st, 2014.

The past year’s explosive growth has launched our most ambitious expansion effort yet. After build-out, this new space will be the perfect home to the Makerspace for years to come. This isn’t just a minor upgrade; this a significant leap in size and quality.

The funds we’ve saved for the move will cover the bare necessities: security deposit, construction costs, and operating expenses. But, due to higher than expected construction costs, your amazing ideas will need some additional funding to be realized.

We have a simple proposal: Make a tax-exempt gift to DMS in the next month to help move and outfit the new facilities. Your donation will allow us to immediately equip a space that is nearly 3 times larger. Additionally, please ask your employer if they offer matching funds to boost the impact of your gift.

Among the board and officers, we have collectively pledged $2,500 of our $40,000 goal. Please join us in making our hopes for the new space a reality.

To keep things fun, we’ve come up with a few reward tiers:

• $8 – Form email with your name misspelled : )
• $64 – Your name on a “thank you wall”
• $128 – Medium name on the thank you wall
• $256 – Large name on the thank you wall
• $512 – Your name on a workbench + Larger name on the thank you wall
• $1024 – Name a section of storage shelves + Even larger name on the thank you wall
• $10k – Name a class/committee room + Largest name on the thank you wall
